Coloring is an activity that may seem simple to many parents, but it plays a
crucial role in developing good motor and coordination skills during a child’s
early years. Coloring is a great engaging activity for children which can help
avoid excessive screen time, help them concentrate better on tasks and
boost their sense of creativity and productivity whenever they finish a page.
Parents can pick out a few coloring sheets with their child as a fun activity
each week and allow them to have complete freedom to explore different
colors. There will be a few purple frogs and green teeth when they first start
but make sure to give your children plenty of room to be creative while also
making sure they can associate the correct colours with various objects.
Caterpillar-Butterfly has published a collection of high-quality free colouring
pages on the website which can be downloaded from here. We also have
some coloring pages designed from the story series: The Orange and
Ginger Soapy Shampoo. Children can choose colouring pages for their
favorite characters from the story for sale here.
If your coloured page from the Caterpillar-Butterfly website turns out to look
really good, you can submit your coloured page to us as an entry to our

Here’s a note from Cate, who will also be taking part in ‘A Zing of Color’
contest along with her brother Kenneth:
I hope everybody is doing well and keeping themselves safe these days.
When I heard about ‘A Zing of Color’, I wanted to colour and send in my
entry as soon as possible!
But Mama advised that I should focus and color in my picture carefully
without leaving any empty spaces and make sure I do the best and
greatest job ever. I did just that and my picture turned out to be so vibrant!
Kenneth is also sending in an entry for the competition but with an easier
colouring page because he’s younger than me. He also did a pretty good
job and his page looks beautiful!
